Hi there! Thank you for visiting my website. I'm an LA-based mad hatter & I'm excited to share them all with you here. I act, sing, write, produce, and direct. Not necessarily in that order but not necessarily not in that order. I am half South-Indian & half Scottish (Family reunions are a wonderful riot filled with curry and scotch). I find this business fiercely magical & I am endlessly infatuated with storytelling that speaks straight to the heart of the human experience.
I am currently a series regular on the new web series, "Getting There", about a group of friends who are all different kinds of actors and artists finding their way in LA. I don't relate to my character at all. I was also seen off-Broadway in the world premiere of “Heart of a Battle” as Sarah Green, the energetic barista who didn’t need more coffee… type cast? In 2018 I produced and performed in Spring Awakening the musical. We raised 8K for Everytown for Gun Safety and were awarded "Best Musical of the Year" at the Robby Awards. It was a dream of a production and I got to work with some of the best humans I've ever met. You can read more about our process at my production company's website, www.meyouproductions.com
Speaking of! In September 2015 I founded my own production company, Me + You Productions. My company is committed to telling fiercely honest, human stories. We love exploring all kinds of worlds, and so far have explored 1891 Germany, post-nuclear war 3017, teenage relationships, and crime stories. It’s too much fun. My company's premiere project was my first self-produced, written, directed, and starred in short film, “Bright”! It’s a look at modern relationships and will be premiering on Amazon this fall. I can’t wait to share it with the world! You can follow it at www.brightthefilm.com.
I graduated from UC Irvine with a BA in drama, did a summer musical theatre conservatory at NYU, and did my postgraduate studies in London for acting and film at Rose Bruford College of Performing Arts. I was also able to participate in the Screen Acting Conservatory at London City Academy, where I got bit by the Hollywood bug (The musical theatre bug has had me since I was twelve… so now I have two lovers.) In Los Angeles, I've trained at The Village Acting Studio, Upright Citizens Brigade, and Antaeus Theatre Company. Much to my mother’s dismay, this work teaches me the opposite of impulse control and I love it.
When I’m not deep in the world of film and theatre, I write! I currently write for Arianna Huffington’s, Thrive Global. While I love writing my own scripts, I am also an avid article fanatic. I love writing socially driven pieces regarding women, gender, and modern relationships. You can view my writing portfolio here!
On weekends I can be found cycling in Griffith Park, sharing red wine with friends, or building a fort for my cats. I love to travel. I once bathed an elephant in the Zuari River in India. I got my scuba diving certification in Greece and dove down to a ship wreck with a group of old sailors. I am a notorious marshmallow heart and have to feed every stray animal I see. I love dark, dystopic novels. The weirder the better. I adore my weekly planner, colorful stickers, and creating new recipes.
I continue to audition, write, create productions, and journey through this beautiful business. Maybe one day we’ll create something together!
